West All-State Fast-Pitch
Madelyn Torrenueva, Brooklyn Lyles, and Aubree Ferguson represented the Newcastle Racers when they played recently in the All-State games. Torrenueva is an outfielder, while Lyles is a corner infielder, and Ferguson is a pitcher. All three will be playing college softball this year. Torrenueva and Ferguson are going to the University of Arts and Sciences in Chickasha, and Lyles is at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond. All three, and their coach Mike Crossley, were nominated for Softball Player of the Year through The Oklahoman at the OKC Metro USA Today High School Sports Awards show.
