Ronald ‘Ron’ Wade Tucker

Ronald (Ron) Wade Tucker, 78, of Oklahoma City, passed from this life on March 26, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones.

Ron was born May 3, 1943, to C.R. and Minnie Rae Tucker in Sayre, Oklahoma. He graduated from Newcastle High School in 1961.

He married Revonia “Jolene” Cowan on October 29, 1965, at Lake Creek Baptist Church in Granite, Oklahoma. They had four children together: Ronda, Robert, Regina and Robyn.

He joined the United States Air Force in January 1964 and was honorably discharged in January 1970. He graduated from Central State University in May 1971 with his Bachelors degree in Business. He worked in real estate and property management for 30-plus years in the Edmond/Oklahoma City area.

Ron enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening (known to his neighbors as the “vegetable man”), and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren at the family farm. He never met a stranger, as he always had a story to tell, joke or funny comic to share, always had a smile on his face, and was beyond generous and kind. He loved big in his own way.

He was preceded in death by: his parents (C.R. and Minnie Tucker), sister (Judy Tucker) and nephew (Rick Tucker).

He is survived by: his brother Manford Tucker of Edmond; son Robert (Lisa) Tucker of Guthrie; three daughters, Ronda (Craig) States of Shawnee, Regina Hobbs of Piedmont, and Robyn (Max) Rinehart of Newcastle; one niece, Janis (Ronnie) Forbes of Eufaula; grandsons Cord (Jessica) Tucker, Terry (Shelby) Tucker, Cody Tucker, Max Rinehart II, Rylan Rinehart; granddaughters Davi (Kenneth) Ruth, Cara (Christopher) Clement, Kressa Hobbs, Kenna Hobbs, and Reynolds Rinehart; numerous great-grandchildren, several cousins, extended family, and a lot of friends.

A visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2022, at Matthews Funeral Home, Edmond. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 2, at Matthews Funeral Home. A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. at Berlin Cemetery in Sayre, Oklahoma (in Roger Mills County).
