Paul Ray Jones

Paul Ray “PJ” Jones, 87, of Newcastle, passed away on November 12, 2022, in Lexington. The son of Arthur Manuel and Bertha Lee (Hudson) Jones, Paul was born on November 13, 1934, in Hennepin, Oklahoma.

PJ attended Hennepin Schools and received his GED at a later time. He joined the United States Air Force and proudly served for four years. He was an active member of the VFW of Blanchard. PJ worked as a machinist and was proud of the Christmas trees that he made for the oil rigs. He loved working with his Douglas Roses and photographing them. Paul also enjoyed sketching. When Loray was younger, he loved traveling and planning the entire summers out with her. PJ will be greatly missed, especially by his Daddy’s girl, Loray.

PJ is preceded in death by: his parents; and two sisters, Martha and Ann Jones.

He is survived by: his two daughters, Ruthie Loray Busby and husband Jack of Newcastle, and Paula Jane Emerson and husband Tim of Titusville, Florida; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two brothers, James Jones of Oklahoma City, and Tim Jones and wife Ina from Mustang; three sisters, Charli Meador of Bartlesville, Ruth Kinnamon of Bethany, and Edith Johnson of Dallas, Texas; and several nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.

Funeral services for Paul were at 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Interment followed in Blanchard Cemetery.
