James Robert Housley

James Robert Housley, 51, died unexpectedly of a heart attack during his sleep early Tuesday morning on October 12, 2021, at the house he shared with his wife, Loujohnia.

Robert was born at 7:20 a.m. on March 25, 1970, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Clara (Muncy) Willis and James G. Housley. He was raised by his mother, Clara, and his father, Charles Willis.

Robert began going to Newcastle in the second grade, where he graduated in 1988, and where he met the love of his life, Loujohnia. They were good friends throughout high school and began dating on August 11, 1989. Exactly one year later, they married on August 11, 1990.

Eight years later, on November 23, 1998, they welcomed their first and only child, Alyssa Celeste Housley.

He made a career as a printer and did that for the duration of his life.

Robert is survived by: his wife Loujohnia (Krueger) Housley; his daughter Alyssa Housley; his mother Clara (Muncy) Willis; his sisters, Carolyn (Robert) Banos and Kerrie Hudson; his mother and father-in-law, John and Bonnie Krueger; his sister-in-law Debbie (Danny) Love; his brother-in-law Rodney Krueger; his best friends, Gerald Snake and Chance Scott; and 14 nieces and nephews, numerous cousins, great-nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by: his grandfather Louie R Muncy; his grandmother Estelle Muncy; his father Charles Willis; his biological father James G. Housley; and his brothers-in-law, Randy Krueger, Rickey Krueger, and Kenny Hudson.

Robert made everyone he met laugh, whether it was appropriate or not. He had a way of doing it without even trying. You could always depend on him for his honest opinion, even if you didn’t want to hear it. He spent almost all his time with his little family and the dogs and cats they had over the years.

He was always more than involved in Alyssa’s activities and was her number one supporter alongside Loujohnia. Robert was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he enjoyed watching football and motocross. His favorite teams were OU and the Dallas Cowboys.

He also loved heavy metal, camping, the outdoors, and spending time in the garage. He was always happiest with his two girls, Loujohnia and Alyssa.

Robert did not want a memorial service, but we ask you to remember him as the outspoken, hilarious family man he has always been.

Forever, until my life is through, Daddy, I’ll be loving you forever.
