Jacquella Lee Hay

Jacquella Lee Hay, 82, of Criner, died Monday, November 14, 2022, at her home. The daughter of Jackson Coral Jones and Novella (DeJarnette) Jones, she was born August 12, 1940, in Altus, Oklahoma.

Jacquella was a Christian in faith. She married the love of her life, Raymond Lee Hay, on December 2, 1961, in Warr Acres, Oklahoma, and he preceded her in death in 2015 after 53 years of marriage.

Jacquella was a registered nurse and worked for Mercy Hospital doing home visits for newborn care until the birth of her first child. At this time she became a full-time wife, mother, and homemaker. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, arranging flowers, and playing the piano and banjo. She was an avid fan of Oklahoma University football. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; and one brother, Jimmie Carl Jones.

Jacquella is survived by: her daughter, Stacy Hay of Criner; her son, Ryan Hay and his wife, Melanie, of Kyle, Texas; three grandchildren, Megan Hay of Criner, Caitlin Melton and her husband, Jacob, of Noble, and Austin Hay of Kyle, Texas; and many other loved ones and friends.

A funeral service was at 10 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2022, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial followed in the Blanchard Cemetery.
