Jack L. Dotson

Jack L. Dotson, 89, of Newcastle, died Sunday, August 15, 2021, in Oklahoma City. The son of Melvin Dotson and Dimple M. (Gee) Dotson, he was born July 30, 1932, in Oklahoma City.

Jack was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked in construction and owned and operated Jack Dotson Inc. for more than 50 years, and attended Tri City Cowboy Church.

Jack enjoyed square dancing and team roping, and loved to watch rodeos.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife Peggy; and one daughter, Debbie Garrett.

Jack is survived by one daughter, Pamela Marshall and her husband, Bill; son-in-law, Pete Garrett; seven grandchildren, Brandon Garrett and his wife, Cindy, Brette McCracken and her husband, Joel, Bekah Eagle and her husband, Eric, Beth Flores and her husband, Danny, Virginia Parrish, Emily Marshall and Sara Atterberry and husband Adam; 12 great grandchildren, Joel McCracken, Jr., Jared McCracken, Tara Adams, Jason McCracken, Jacob McCracken, Jack McCracken, Perry Garrett, Bryan Garrett, Braden Garrett, Ethan Eagle, Andrew Eagle, and Rayleigh Atterberry; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial followed in the Blanchard Cemetery.
