Howard Wayne Henshaw

Howard Wayne Henshaw, 84, of Newcastle, died Sunday, June 16, 2019, at his home. The son of Robert Howard Henshaw and Ruby (Sanders) Henshaw, he was born November 28, 1934 in Gurley, Alabama.

Wayne was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was Baptist in faith. He owned and operated Wayne’s Auto Sales in Newcastle for over 30 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars, dancing, traveling, and racing cars.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carolyn Henshaw; and two brothers, Billy Henshaw and Calvin Henshaw.

He is survived by his loving companion of over 34 years, Wanda Smith, of Newcastle; his two sons, Carl Henshaw of Norman and Mike Henshaw of Newcastle; two grandchildren, Josh Henshaw of Newcastle and Jacob Henshaw and his wife RiDawn of Newcastle; two great grandchildren, Rylee and Mason; one sister, Lella Lawrence of Newcastle; two brothers, Harold Hen-shaw of Sapulpa and Leon Henshaw of Stroud; and many other loved ones and friends.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, June 20, 2019, at the Davenport Cemetery in Davenport, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
