Carol Gene James

Carol Gene (Simer) James, 77, of Blanchard, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022, in Blanchard, Oklahoma. The daughter of James Lewis Simer and Dollie Dimple (Bess) Simer, she was born on October 23, 1945, in Dibble, Oklahoma.

On June 27, 1964, Carol married the love of her life, Archie Lee James, in Newcastle, Oklahoma. Together, they had two sons, Tony James and Kevin James. Carol had a deep love for her family.

She was a wonderful wife and mother and showed her love by cooking delicious meals for her family and friends. Her sons could always count on her to be at every game cheering them on. Carol was also a huge Elvis Presley fan. She will be deeply missed by those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, James Lewis Simer and Dollie Dimple (Bess) Simer; one brother, James L. Simer, Jr.; three sisters, Inez McKinney, Jimmie Stevens, and Alta Bewley; three infant sisters, Leo Loretta, Patricia June, and JoAnn; and one infant grandson, Troy James.

Carol is survived by: her husband, Archie Lee James of Blanchard; two sons, Tony James and his wife, Robyn, of Blanchard, and Kevin James and his wife, Tracy, of Blanchard; one sister, Irma Robinson of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren, Kallie Peters and her husband, Caleb, of Noble, Kelsey Oliver and her husband, Shane, of Blanchard, Alyssa Stidolph and her husband, Neil, of Wellington, Texas, and Tori James of Blanchard; two great-grandchildren, Landri Kate and Mack Alan, and one on the way; close friend, Don Ledford; and many more loving family members and friends.

Viewing was from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, November 7, 2022, at Eisenhour Funeral Home in Blanchard, Oklahoma. A funeral service was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at the Blanchard Church of Christ. Burial followed in the Blanchard Cemetery.
