Corbin family plays its part in class, on football field

The Newcastle School District (est. 1922) is preparing to celebrate its Centennial anniversary. A lot has happened over these 100 years and this article recognizes a family who has been a part of NPS for just over half of that time span. The Corbin family moved to Newcastle in 1968. Lily and her husband Bobby (now deceased) had four sons who attended school here: Randy, Robert, Russ and Rodney. They came here during those years when football was played in Little League, but was not being played as a school sport. Newcastle High School varsity football did not resume play until the fall of 1971.
