William Ryan Pratt

William “Ryan” Pratt passed away on October 18, 2022, at the age of 45.

His battle with cancer showed his courage in facing the hardest fight of his life with strength and a smile. Despite the pain, Ryan came out a hero and stayed strong until the end.

Ryan was a devoted and loving husband to Monika and father of Garrett and Spencer.

Ryan was born on November 27, 1976, in Norman, Oklahoma, to Bill and Jeanne (Brown) Pratt. He had two wonderful sisters, Allison and Holly. He dearly loved his parents, sisters, stepmother Lisa, and stepbrother Nic.

He was raised in Pauls Valley and graduated high school as valedictorian of his class in 1996.

He loved playing sports and was a competitive football player and All-State tennis player. He valued his childhood in that community and loved the family and friends he grew up with. He always spoke fondly of those memories.

He received his Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Oklahoma in Norman in 2000. His love of OU football is something that will never be forgotten. He will now forever be able to watch every OU football game in peace without interruption.

On May 28, 2006, he married Monika Lackey and they have raised two wonderful sons together, Garrett and Spencer. He gave all he had to being the best husband and father, and he loved them more than anything.

Ryan was a hard worker in everything he did. He began his professional career as a home builder and finished with his own concrete and construction company in Newcastle. He loved going to the lake and vacationing in Mexico with his wife. He attended Life Church in Moore. He was a little league coach and treasured watching Garrett play football and Spencer play soccer.

He loved movies of all genres and wouldn’t pass up a chance to rewatch a classic. He was easy going and had a great sense of humor.

Ryan was preceded in death by: his sisters, Allison and Holly; his maternal grandparents, Jack and Jeneva (Chick) Brown; his paternal grandparents, Roscoe and Cleo Pratt; and an uncle, Jack D. Brown.

He is survived by: his wife Monika; his two sons, Garrett and Spencer; his parents Bill Pratt and Jeanne Pratt, stepmother Lisa Pratt; his stepbrother Nic Field; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, mother and father-in law, sister and brotherin- law, and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on October 27 at the First Baptist Church of Pauls Valley.
