Visit Chickasaw Country for fall festivities

Pumpkin patches, mazes and more celebrate autumn

Crisp temperatures and vibrant fall foliage mean now is the time to get the most out of autumn in Chickasaw County. Visitors will find pumpkin patches, corn mazes, fall festivals, haunted houses and much more throughout the 13 counties in south-central Oklahoma.

The Maize at Chickasha’s Reding Farm is the largest in the state. With 35 acres and a new design every year, The Maize is always an entertaining challenge. For those who prefer their fun a little spooky, Reding Farms also offers Haunted Hayrides on Friday and Saturday nights from Sept. 28 to Oct. 27.

The Brown Ranch 3B Hay Maze in Ardmore is a great excursion for families or groups. In addition to the maze built of 1.5 million pounds of hay, visitors can enjoy the kiddie cow train, kids corral, hay slides and more, all for one price.

Everyone can find an adventure in Chickasaw Country this fall, said Paige Williams Shepherd, director of tourism for the Chickasaw Nation.

“Fall is one of the best times to visit Chickasaw Country, with mild temperatures, scenic vistas and vibrant foliage,” said Shepherd. “Pumpkin patches, haunted houses, mazes, festival and more mean there’s always a fun and exciting time to be found just a short drive away.”
