Stretch it out at therapy band class series
Thu, 10/11/2018 - 12:00am
Improve flexibility and general physical fitness with the help of the Newcastle Public Library and its series of Therapy Band Classes, beginning at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, at the library.
The series, presented by the Oklahoma Healthy Aging Initiative, will run at 2 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays for six weeks (except for Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22) and will wrap up Tuesday, Nov. 27.
These are no-impact chair exercises using resistance bands with the goal of increasing strength, muscle tone and balance. Participants will get the most benefit if they are able to attend all 12 of the classes.
Space is limited to 12 participants, and registration in advance is required.
