PACER/JANIE BLUNT The Tri-City Cruisers saw a big turnout of participants and car enthusiasts for their 2012 car show this past weekend in the old Tri-City shopping center parking lot. All proceeds from the event will benefit the group’s Christmas program to help local needy families. This Saturday, the car club and Sonic in Tri-City will have a cruise-in beginning at 6 p.m. Other dates set are June 2, July 7, Aug. 1, Sept. 1 and Oct. 6.

City asks for DEQ's help in water upgrades
The City of Newcastle may not have to foot the whole bill for several water improvements if their $440,000 funding request to the Oklahoma Department of Environment Quality is approved.
