4 Racers wrestle at State

Ashley Leader and Clare Bebout were swimming at the Class 5A State swim meet preliminaries Tuesday at Mitch Park in Edmond. Results could not be determined by press time for the Newcastle Pacer. Leader was swimming in the 200M fly and the 100M breast while Bebout was swimming in the 100M backstroke. Leader is a junior at Newcastle while Bebout is a freshman.
Racer basketball returned after a short hiatus due to snowy weather to see the girls team fall short to Perkins-Tryon, 53-7, and the boys win their third straight district title over Perkins-Tryon 53-37.
The Newcastle Racers wrestling team (6-3) has wrapped up an impressive season and now looks with enthusiasm to regionals scheduled this Friday and Saturday at Clinton.
