Oklahoma State University's foray into selling beer at football games is part of a multimillion-dollar upgrade to improve the fan experience. OSU spent $6.5 million during the offseason adding amenities at Boone Pickens Stadium, most of which was spent on a very large video screen. The other $1.5 million was spent on constructing more concession options inside the stadium, as well as putting in televisions in the concourse area so fans can watch other games. Revenue from beer sales will be used to add more fan-targeted amenities.
