Addressing America’s debt crisis

In January, the United States hit its debt ceiling, which is currently at $31.4 trillion. After raising the debt limit by $2.5 trillion just two years ago in 2021, this sobering news should serve as a wakeup call that we must reduce our nation’s spending and implement meaningful fiscal reforms to address America’s debt crisis before it is too late. This fiscal trajectory is simply unsustainable.

For far too long, American leaders have accepted the erosion of our advantage over the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) both economically and militarily. In the meantime, the CCP has posed increasingly as an adversary rather than a friend to the United States and the entire world. It is time to analyze the policies that have allowed the CCP to dominate on the global stage and find solutions that ensure America’s success in this competition.
