Trudy Ann Longan

Trudy Ann Longan was born April 1, 1962 to Joe D. and Joyce Longan in Oklahoma City, OK. She passed from this life into the arms of Jesus Christ on October 26, 2020 at the age of 58.

The Longan family moved to Newcastle, OK in the early 70s where Trudy and her sister Missy attended Newcastle Schools. She was active in basketball and was involved in many school functions. She married Danny Watters on May 27, 1981 and for 39 1/2 years made their home in and around the Goldsby, Newcastle and Bridge Creek area. She gave birth to a daughter and 2 sons of whom she was very proud. She was employed as a nurses aide with various nursing homes and ended with a career as a dietary clerk at Deaconess Hospital. Her career ended when she was diagnosed with Retroperitoneal Fibrosis, a rare, painful condition that she endured for over 20 years. She continued on as a home maker and loved crafts, sewing, cooking, needle point and being with her children and grandchildren. She had many close friends that she would call and check up on and would pray for God to watch over them often. She was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church for 29 years where she accepted Jesus Christ as her Saviour.

Trudy was preceded in death by her grandparents, John & Ann Fagg, Lorraine and JD Longan Sr.; and her mother, Joyce Fagg Brown; Uncles Lonnie and Mickey Longan; sister Melissa Brandon.

She is survived by her husband, Danny; their daughter, Ashlee Dawn Turner (Billy); sons David Lavoy Watters (Cayla) and Daniel Trai Watters (Natalie); stepson Dustin Lee Watters (Angela); her father, Joe D Longan Jr. and mom, Sandy Longan; her precious grandsons - Logan, Andrew & Zachary Watters, Ethan Watters, Michael Watters; her precious granddaughters - Elizabeth, Ansley & Alyvia Watters, LilyAnn Watters, Lyric & Seven Horn, Chevelle Ruiz; brother in law Todd Brandon and aunt Dedra Fagg Cash.
