Crystal Joy Kendzierski

Crystal Joy Kendzierski, age 42, of Bristow, OK departed this life on Saturday, July 13, 2019 in Bristow, OK. Crystal was born on October 17, 1976 in Marion, NC to Roger Dean Owens and Carolyn Joy (Knobloch) Killian. She was a 1993 graduate of Newcastle High School in Newcastle, OK. After graduating high school, Crystal served in the United States Air Force from 1994 to 1999. She worked as an Air Traffic Controller at Jones Riverside Airport in Jenks, OK for over 15 years. Crystal was a member of the First Baptist Church in Coweta, where she enjoyed volunteering and helping with Vacation Bible School. Crystal’s children were her greatest source of pride and love. She loved life and was very outgoing. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, traveling, scrapbooking, riding with Terry on his motorcycle, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends. Crystal touched many lives with her caring heart and loved helping other people.

Crystal is survived by her three children, Tyler Forester of Coweta, OK, Allison Forester of Bristow, OK, and Matthew McCollum of Newcastle, OK; her mother and step-father, Carolyn and James Killian of Newcastle, OK; her father and step-mother, Roger and Pam Owens of Smithton, IL; two brothers, Anthony Killian and wife Dawn of Newcastle, OK and Paul Killian and wife Renee of Festus, MO; four sisters, Christie Helmick of Albuquerque, NM, Kelly Owens of Newcastle, OK, Leslie Jones and husband Kurt of Medford, OR, and Rebecca Holloway and husband Kevin of Belleville, IL; her companion, Terry Fullerton of Bristow, OK; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Crystal was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents; her sister, Sarah Owens-Cox; her cousin, Angela Owens; and her nephew, Timothy “T.J.” Owens.

Donations may be made in memory of Crystal to Brown Family Funeral Home to go to Crystal’s children.

A memorial service celebrating Crystal’s life will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Coweta, OK with Pastor Sylvan Knobloch and Pastor Richard Ellington officiating. Family and friends gathered for a visitation from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Brown Family Funeral Home.
