Connie Ann (Dutton) Claunch

Connie Ann (Dutton) Claunch was born in Sheridan, Wyoming on October 11th, 1948, to the proud parents of Cleo Harding and Johnnie Ann Dutton.  On November 18th, 2019, seventy two years later, Jesus took her home to Heaven, where she was gloriously reunited with her son Jeffery Ray who arrived there before her on October 12th, 1988.
Connie is survived by her sister Darlene Kay Widener, her brother C. Ross (Boots) Dutton and his wife Julie.  Her son Jere Dale Claunch and his wife Natalie, and five grandchildren, Drew, Peyton, Parker, Abby, and Noah, and one great granddaughter Gracelyn.  She is also survived by her niece Crissy May, and husband Paul, and their three children:  Jacob, Ally, and Emma.  As well as her nephew Evan Brock and his wife Crystal, and their four children Claire, Katelyn, Madeline, and Russell.  And her nephews Colton Dutton and his wife Rachel, and Clayton Dutton and his daughter Marcy.
Connie’s family will remember her as a warm, loving, Christian woman, who loved her family with all of her heart.  She will be remembered as a woman who had a penchant for charitable giving.  More than once, she took in families who were in need, and let them live in her home and share her life.  Nationality and place of origin meant nothing to her.  Her heart truly went out to those who were in need, and to those who needed love. Connie had a great capacity to love.
Connie was a cosmetologist who once ruled the hair salon business in Norman, Oklahoma.  She was the undisputed most talented cutter around, and had a clientele that once included the wives of the entire coaching staff at OU.  She was a great dancer, and for a while was a dance instructor.  And…she could handle a four speed, 365 Hp SS 396 Chevelle down a quarter mile track, and never miss a gear.  Just how many baby booties do you think Connie crocheted?  And, should her knitting needles be saved as a national treasure?
Connie will be missed by all, and she will never be forgotten in the hearts of her family and friends that she left behind.
Connie’s Visitation will be Thursday 01/02/20 5:00PM-8:00PM at Primrose. Her funeral service will be Friday 01/03/2020 2:00PM at Primrose at 1109 N. Porter Ave. in Norman, with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Sign the online guestbook at www.primrosefuneralservice.com
