Jerry Dewayne White

Jerry Dewayne White

Jerry Dewayne White was born December 26, 1955, in Oklahoma City, to Jerry Don and Lawanda June (New) White. He passed from this life on Monday, January 5, 2026, in Ardmore, at the age of 70 years and 10 days.

After graduating from Newcastle High School, Dewayne began working for Wilson Foods in Oklahoma City, prior to working for Gabriel Shocks in Chickasha. Following the death of his father in 2009, he moved to Davis to help and care for his mother. While residing in Davis, Dewayne worked night shift maintenance at the Sulphur Walmart, as well as doing custodial work at the First Baptist Church in Davis.

Dewayne, quiet by nature, was a man of habits. He started every morning with breakfast at Burger Land, where he formed many friendships. He was a true sports fanatic. He, along with his mother, kept up with every sport they could find to watch. Upon moving to Davis, he quickly became a huge Davis Wolves fan and attended as many games as he could. Dewayne lived for the next game, no matter what sport.

Following the path of his father, Dewayne became regularly active in the First Baptist Church. In addition to the custodial work at the church, Dewayne regularly assisted with the distribution of commodities each month, as well as anywhere else he was needed. In his younger years, Dewayne loved to fish, hunt, and go camping.

Survivors include: one daughter, Rebecka Curliss and husband Jimmy of Blanchard; two grandchildren, Brody and Addie; his mother, Lawanda White of Davis; sister, Debbie Landers and husband Mark of Oklahoma City; brother, Ricky White and wife Debbie of Davis; one niece, Kimberly McInroe and husband Chase; two nephews, Brandon White, and Justin White and wife Cashlie; as well several great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, January 12, 2026, at the First Baptist Church of Davis, with Brother Gary Fielding officiating. Interment followed at the Green Hill Cemetery, in Davis.
