Patsy Lee, age 81, of Newcastle, passed away at her home on November 19, 2025. Patsy Ann Lee was born on March 26, 1944, in Oklahoma City to Robert Alvin Cavett and Lenys Carol Cavett (Guest). She grew up on the family farm in Newcastle, attended school there, and graduated with the Racer Class of 1962. Patsy then attended the Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha where she earned her Bachelors in Teaching & Home Economics.

She later attended Central State in Edmond, and earned her Masters degree in Education in 1990. Patsy was a home economics teacher all of her working years. She taught at Newcastle High School, Bald Knob High School in Arkansas, and Norman High School which she retired from in 1997. In her time away from the classroom, she enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, baking, crafting, and most recently antiquing. She was active in church for many years, and led a group which sewed dresses to send to girls in Africa.

Patsy cherished her family and loved spending time with them any chance she got. She also fostered many close relationships including college classmates, Sunday school groups and with her sister, Donna. Patsy was a beloved mother, grandmother, friend, and teacher who will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by: her parents Robert and Lenys Cavett; and her sister Donna Steyaert.

She is survived by: her children Justin Lee and Melissa of Newcastle, Tara Lee Hood of Newcastle, and Shannon Mize and Lacy of Tuttle. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren: Gunner, Tyler, Tristan, Chloe, Sophia, Cora, Beckett, and Walker; three great-grandchildren: Ainsley, Declan, and Harper; brother-inlaw Warren Steyaert; nieces and nephews, Brian Steyaert, Angeline Henager, Kristi Lee-Gifford; former husband and good friend Carl Lee; and a host of family, friends, and students whose lives she impacted greatly.

A memorial for Patsy was at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Eisenhour Funeral Home, 2500 N. Council Ave., Blanchard, OK. Arrangements were under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
