Carolyn Kay Thompson

Carolyn Kay Thompson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away surrounded by family in her home.

Born the chosen daughter of Art and Faye Keen, Carolyn grew up in Oklahoma City and married Olen Thompson, her husband of 68 years. Together they raised nine children and built a life centered on faith, love, and family.

Carolyn lived in Newcastle and later Macomb, where she and Olen made their home for many years before retiring back to Newcastle. She was active in her community, enjoyed friendships with the Donut Dollies, and cherished time with her family above all else.

She is survived by: her nine children - Malinda (Steve) Wilson, Sharon Rider, Danny (Shanon) Thompson, Frank Thompson, Jennette (Cyle) Honeycutt, Jason (Cassidy) Thompson, and Christy (Dustin) Lackey; 19 grandchildren; and 19 greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Art and Faye Keen; and great-granddaughter, Lillie Ann Myers.

Carolyn will be remembered for her unwavering love, kindness, and devotion to her family.

A viewing was from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, October 5, 2025, in Tri-City.

The family received friends from 3-5 p.m. Funeral Services were at 1 p.m. Monday, October 6, 2025, at Tri-City Cowboy Country Church, 3246 NW 32nd St., Newcastle, OK 73065. Burial followed at Newcastle Memorial Gardens.
