Reba Bernice Price was born January 5, 1937. in Tipton, Oklahoma, the baby of nine children born to Burnice Herman Price and Rosanna Catherine (Huff) Price. She was raised in Tipton and attended school there.
By chance, she met a young serviceman named Joe Harold Knapp. They were married on August 22, 1958, and began their life together, raising three children: Curtis, Jo and Cindy.
They lived in various towns throughout the years including Newcastle, Bray and Dibble. In 1993 they bought a travel trailer and for the next 13 years, they traveled all over the United States. By 2012, they had settled back home in Newcastle.
Reba worked in banking for several years, but her greatest joy was being a wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and visiting with family and friends. She was a woman of great faith and a longtime member of the Newcastle First Baptist Church. She will be dearly missed!
She was preceded in death by: her husband Joe Knapp; her parents, Burnice and Rosanna Price; and her siblings.
Reba is survived by: her son, Curtis Knapp and wife Patty of Pauls Valley; daughters, Jo A. Baker and husband Charlie of Newcastle, and Cindy Huddleston and husband Gary of Poteau; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
Graveside Services were Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Norman.
