Superintendent Melonie Hau accepts a check for $6,990 from the Team Spirit Card program at The First National Bank & Trust Co. This program triggers a donation with every customer transaction when the customer carries a Team Spirit card. To the customer, the cost is nothing. Citywide Garage Sale is underway

Each spring, the citizens of Newcastle who have an interest, begin planning for the Annual Citywide Garage Sale. There are those who sell items, and there are those who are looking for the bargains the weekend offers. This year the Citywide Garage Sale is scheduled for today (Thursday through Saturday).

Turnpike driving emotions with Newcastle mayor, his family

Although design plans are still preliminary, the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority has named the Outer Loop: East-to-West Connector turnpike as its priority number one and they expect to move on it as quickly as possible. This is the connector between Newcastle and Norman which continues to the east and eventually connects with the southern portion of the Kickapoo Turnpike.
