Friends of the Newcastle Public Library will host their annual book sale and craft show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 4 at the library, 705 NW 10th. Customers can fill a bag of books for $5. There will also be a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
McClain County GOP is planning a “Meet your candidates” event at the Newcastle Storm Shelter at 7 p.m. tonight (Thursday). Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for meet and greet.
