For many years one could walk the State Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City and look up to see a majestic Douglas C-47 Skytrain aircraft atop a pole as if it were still on a flight carrying paratroopers in World War II.
The deadline to request absentee ballots by mail is approaching. Applications must be received by the County Election Board no later than 5 p.m. Monday, June 13. Mc- Clain County Election Board Secretary, Karen Haley, says absentee voting is available to all voters and can be submitted several ways.
