A celebration of Dr. Melonie Hau in her retirement as superintendent of Newcastle Public Schools is from 3-5 p.m. Tuesday at the school administration building.
Marci White and Tommy Clay were sworn in for new terms of office as City Council members during the Monday night regular meeting. Neither drew opponents for their offices.
