Marijuana rules create legal gray areas

As Oklahoma heads toward full implementation of its medical marijuana program, some are raising concerns about the product's safety and what role lawmakers must play in ensuring it. State Question 788 didn't include a robust explanation about product testing. It contains no regulations on laboratories, and it doesn't explain how and when the product should be tested. That has been an issue since its passage. Marijuana industry organizations noted that regulatory blind spot while calling for a special legislative session. Now that hundreds of residents have their medical cards, and hundreds of businesses are getting established to serve them, the issue has arisen again.
