Falling for Newcastle

The Newcastle Chamber of Commerce  is gearing up for the First Annual Falling for Newcastle Community Event on Saturday, Oct. 24. The market will still open at 8 a.m., but will have extended hours for the event closing at 2 p.m. instead of noon.
Events planned are:
• Trick-or-Treat the vendors
•Costume Contest 2 p.m.
• Pumpkin Cook Off (Homemade recipes made with pumpkin ingredient)$5.00 to enter. Dishes must be dropped off between 1 and 1:30 p.m., judging begins at 1:35 p.m.
• Raffles -  tickets are 1 for $3.00 or 2 for $5.00. Up for grabs are items from various vendors a signed copy of the book Fire and Blood  by Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin, House Coins that are from the Shire Mint who created the coins for the HBO series, Game of Thrones. Winners will be announced at the Haunt the Park event.

• Pioneer Cook Out - Pioneer Telephone will be bringing their trailer and grilling up hotdogs and hamburgers - they will be donating all of the food for a Fundraiser for the Farmers  Market.
