Dual duelers celebrate Senior Night

My name is Timothy Estrada. I am the son of Ruben and Maria Estrada. My grandparents are Jose and Ether Estrada.

This has been my first year of wrestling and one of my best memories of this season so far was when we were wrestling in the Catoosa Tournament and I earned the nickname, “Biscuits”.

My favorite quote is by former Iowa wrestling head coach Dan Gable when he said: “Gold medals aren’t really made of gold. They’re made of sweat, determination, and a hard to find alloy called guts”

My advice for the future Newcastle wrestlers is to start earlier than I did in your wrestling career and don’t give up on it when things get hard… just keep going.

My future plans include to keep running my appliance repair business and continue to grow it and hopefully one day give back to our program.

My name is Hunter Sneed or “Steve” to Coach Hale. I am the son of Mark and Cammie Sneed and the brother to Dawson “Snack Pack” Sneed, and my grandparents are Barney and Joe Sneed and David and Debra Jones.

I have wrestled for 15 years and, in that time, my most favorite wrestling memory is wrestling on the only Newcastle wrestling team so far to qualify for the Dual State Tournament.

My advice for future Newcastle wrestlers is to earn every single victory in the practice room first.

My favorite quote is: “Everything can be taken from a man but one thing; the last of the human freedoms, to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances to choose one’s way.” - by Viktor Frankl. My future plans include joining the Marines, serving my country, getting a degree in criminology and joining the FBI.
