Dibble getting new fire station
To better serve the public, Dibble is getting a second fire station. Funding for the project, located at state Highway 76 at 180th Street, is from the county sales tax. Firefighters expressed their appreciation to the residents of McClain County for their support. This new facility will hasten response time in the southern part of the Dibble Fire District. It will house fire apparatus for first response, structure fires and grass fires. On hand for the groundbreaking, just prior to a tornado warning, were county commissioners Glen Murray and Terry Daniel, land donor Mark Clark and firefighters Ronnie Poe, Brad England, Byron Keely, Trent England, Andrew Landers, Marcus Ball and Gary Eastwood.
