In the book of Colossians, the Apostle Paul prays a beautiful prayer for the church. As I read and studied this prayer, I found myself thinking that this is exactly what is needed today.

Hello Newcastle Seniors! Our world is going to be beautiful again as soon as the rest of the trees bloom. The blooming trees are everywhere and so beautiful. Most of the blooms are white Bradford Pears, but the rest are close behind. I write my column on Sundays, and by the time you are reading this, I am hoping that all the trees will be in full bloom. Isn’t Spring beautiful? It is definitely a sign of re-birth. God thought of every little detail. It makes me so proud to see everything waking up and sparkling and growing. It’s almost time to begin planting those gardens.
This past Sunday I wrapped up a series of messages on leadership. It was a rewarding study as we looked at various leaders in the Bible who led right where God placed them. I concluded the study by looking at the life of Jesus and challenged people to live and lead like Him. Jesus was the ultimate leader and modeled for us how to love God and love others. If we sought to lead like Him, we would have a strong, and life-changing impact on the world around us.
