Summer is beginning, and among all the things celebrated this season, a very special 40th anniversary of the Newcastle Public Library is inviting its community to gather.
A book signing and conversation is scheduled with author Eileen Garvin at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 23 at Veterans Park in Newcastle. The topic is “Spark A Change, Let’s Talk About the Environment.” On the same day, the library is offering Styrofoam recycling.
Happy Heart Homestead Mercantile and Farm Market co-owners Candace Blair and Mandy McGee were welcomed into business March 30 in Newcastle by the Newcastle Chamber of Commerce. The store, at 994 N.
