A time of reunion, fellowship and culture, the Chickasaw Annual Meeting and Festival gets underway Sept. 23 and continues through Oct. 1.
A Newcastle Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting was provided for Pow’r Bowl at 623 N.W. 32nd Street in Newcastle. Pow’r Bowl serves smoothie bowls filled with Açaí or Pitaya base and topped with delicious and healthy toppings. The Elcyzyns say the semi-frozen treat is loaded with healthy components. Newcastle Lions Club members volunteered as sponsors of the Newcastle High School Boys’ Senior Grill & Games, which reportedly included the most fun game of Bingo ever. When multiple Bingos were made, the boys played Rock, Paper, Scissors to determine who would win.
