Wednesday means story time for youngsters

The Newcastle Public Library invites families with preschool children to its weekly story times, at 10 a.m. on each Wednesday during October.

The library’s Pre-K Story Time provides stories, songs, activities and a craft. It’s geared to ages 2 to 5 but babies and even older children are welcome too.

And for families with younger children, the library hosts a Baby Lap Sit activity place at 11 a.m. each Wednesday of the month. These programs will feature songs, rhymes and stories that appeal to babies 15 months and younger and their caregivers.

Registration is encouraged in advance for each of the programs.

For more information, visit the library, call 387-5076 or go online to www.pioneerlibrarysystem.org/newcastle .
