Student interns visit with school board
Several of Niki Gayler’s interns were in attendance at the February Newcastle Board of Education meeting last week. Gayler reports there are now 60 students in the program who have been placed at businesses around the metro area. Students led the flag salute and some offered information about their experiences and the impact the program has had on their education. Mingling in Tri City
A Morning Mingle was at Focus Federal Credit Union, 1097 NW 32nd Street in Newcastle, on Friday morning. Abigail Cabello addressed those in attendance, welcoming them with coffee and breakfast foods. Morning Mingles are in partnership with the Newcastle Chamber of Commerce.
