The City of Newcastle’s annual Memorial Day service was a solemn occasion as emotions flowed during a presentation of Colors, the singing of patriotic songs, remarks from City Council members Gene Reid and Mike Fullerton, a wreath presentation, a rifle salute, and the playing of Taps. Mindy Nix graduating at Northwestern
Spring commencement exercises at Northwestern Oklahoma State University are Saturday, May 4, at Ranger Field. A total of 183 candidates will receive bachelor’s degrees with 34 graduating with honors. A Newcastle resident is among them. Mindy Sue Nix will receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. If weather is bad, exercises will be in Percefull Fieldhouse.
