Newcastle Fast-Pitch entered Regional play this week with an undefeated 12-0 District record, and a 25-1 season record. They were named District 4A-3 champions.
Regionals started Wednesday at Newcastle, and will continue into today (Thursday). The Racers received a bye in game 1 and were scheduled to play the winner of the Sulphur and Clinton game on Wednesday. Thursday’s game is scheduled for 4 p.m. A game 7 is scheduled at 6 p.m. Thursday, only if necessary.
Newcastle notched four more wins in the past week with games September 18 against Bishop McGuinness, 13-3; September 20 against McLoud, 2-0; and two games on September 21 against Classen SAS, 10-0, and 10-0.
