The McClain County Health Department is moving to a new facility in Purcell. They will make the transition starting on Friday, November 6, and the department will reopen to the public at its new location on Friday, November 13.
The address for the new location is McClain County Health Department, 1726 N. Green Ave., Purcell, OK 73080.
During the transition, clients are welcome to visit the Blanchard location at 600 N. Main St. for services.
“We are excited about the opportunities this new location will provide for McClain County,” said Daryn Kirkpatrick, regional administrative director for Oklahoma State Department of Health District 6. “Its location along a more visible, well-traveled thoroughfare will make it easier for community members to access our services. The larger space will also allow us to better serve our clients today while providing room to grow alongside the community in the years to come.”
He said the department’s phone number, which is 405527-6541, will remain the same.
Clients are encouraged to take note of the new address and plan accordingly when visiting the health department in Purcell after Novem- ber 13.

Kirkpatrick said the Mc-Clain County Health Department serves the community by promoting health, preventing disease, and supporting wellness through education and outreach.
