Newcastle’s Fastpitch Softball team (22-11, 8-4) was in second place in District 4A-1, as they headed into the Regional Tournament this week.
The Racers hosted the tournament and were scheduled to begin Regionals at 11 a.m. Wednesday against Ardmore (6-21, 1-11). Cache (25-9, 8-4) and Clinton (4-17, 2-10) were to square off in game 2, with the winners moving to a second game.
Those games were all moved up to Tuesday because of weather.
The Racers won against Ardmore, 14-0, and were to play Cache.
The results could not be determined due to Newcastle Pacer print times.
