Newcastle retail sales return more than $100,000 for month compared to last year; McClain County shows decrease of $285,000
The Oklahoma Tax Commission report for cities and counties for September shows a more than $100,000 increase in sales and use taxes returned to the City of Newcastle compared to the same time the previous year.
The same report shows a decrease of more than $285,000 for McClain County. Newcastle had $1,051,001.43 returned to city coffers based on their sales from business conducted in the month of July.
The municipalities of Blanchard, Byars, Dibble, Lexington, Lindsay, Maysville, Noble, Norman, Purcell, Slaughterville, Wantette, and Wayne all showed increases for the September report. Cole, Goldsby, Paoli, Pauls Valley, and Washington reported fewer sales taxes returned on the report.
