Dr. Cathy Walker, Newcastle Schools superintendent, is the featured speaker for the Newcastle Chamber of Commerce State of the Schools Luncheon at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, September 22.
This year’s luncheon will be at the Newcastle Library Community Room, 705 N.W. 10th Street. The main sponsor for the luncheon is Sooner State Bank. Nabholz Construction is the Gold sponsor.

Other September events include the September 21 City of Newcastle Pop Up in the Park, and a ribbon cutting September 22 for The Pet-Friendly Realtor at Verbode. This is at 1 p.m. in the library community room.
The chamber’s annual golf tournament fundraiser is from 7 a.m. to noon, Monday, at Earlywine Golf Course in Oklahoma City.
Pop Up in the Park is from 10 a.m. to noon at Leesa Cornett Park with the theme “It’s FALLing.” There will be fall crafts free for those attending. It is sonsored by Brooks Bank, formerly The First National Bank & Trust.
