Newcastle’s Tyler Schardt is among new MATC hires
Mid-America Technology Center is pleased to welcome eight new employees to its team for the 2026-27 school year. The group brings experience from education, industry, healthcare, technology, hospitality and school administration to their new roles at Mid-America.
“We are excited to welcome these new employees to Mid-America,” Superintendent Mike Eubank said. “Each brings valuable experience and a desire to make a difference for our students, customers and communities. We look forward to seeing the impact they will have as part of our team.”
New employees are Tyler Schardt of Newcastle, PRO safety trainer; Emily Hitch of Noble, PRO healthcare trainer; Madison Martin of Elmore City, PRO administrative assistant; Dalton Porter of Oklahoma City, IT technician; and Sloan Beaty of Washington, retail and dining assistant teacher.
Other new employees are Robert Clary of Purcell, CADD instructor; Ryan Whitlock of Shawnee, program director; Dot Terrill of Noble, administrative assistant and bursar; James Vines of Bray, advantage instructor; Hunter Carnell of the Lindsay- Maysville area, CNC machining instructor; Kim Holding of Blanchard, admissions coordinator; Cynthia Carr of Washington, Health Careers explorer instructor; and Jennifer Flores of Blanchard, Bus Driver/TA.
Schardt is originally from Eufaula and is now living in Newcastle. A MATC spokesperson said he brings experience in education as an adjunct instructor at Moore Norman Technology Center, as well as experience as a coach and teacher.
In his new role, Schardt looks forward to meeting businesses throughout the community and supporting their training and safety needs. As he gets started at Mid-America, he hopes to get to know the staff and build strong relationships.
Outside of work, Schardt enjoys spending time outdoors and reading.
