Board of McClain County Commissioners met in regular session on Monday, August 24, 2026 at 8:17 a.m. in Room 111 of the McClain County Courthouse. Chairman Terry Daniel called the meeting to order and led the flag salute. County Clerk Rebekah Couch called the roll and those present were: Chairman Terry Daniel and Vice Chairman Glen Murray and Member Wilson Lyles.

Glen Murray moved, Wilson Lyles seconded to purchase two (2) 2027 Pinnacle Day Cab Trucks from Bruckner’s Truck & Equipment through State Contract #SW0035M, at a purchase price of $161,000.00 each, for a total purchase price of $322,000.00, for District One. Glen Murray moved, Wilson Lyles seconded to lease-purchase one (1) 2027 Pinnacle Dump Truck from Bruckner’s Truck & Equipment through Oklahoma State Contract No. SW0035M, with a purchase price of
$200,884.10, less a trade-in allowance of $154,884.10 for a 2024 Mack Dump Truck, resulting in a purchase price of $46,000.00, for District One. Vote Aye: Murray, Lyles, Daniel. Motion carried.
Wilson Lyles moved, Glen Murray seconded to outright purchase one (1) 2026 Superior Broom DT74JF from Warren Cat through Sourcewell Contract #111522-SBM, at a purchase price of $88,535.00, for District Two. Vote Aye: Murray, Lyles, Daniel. Motion carried.
Wilson Lyles moved to table any action on the quote from Avive Solutions for the purchase of up to twenty-five 25 automated external defibrillators (AEDs), including annual service, through State Contract No. SW0300AVIV, in the amount of $45,308.25 until the meeting on August 31, 2026, Glen Murray seconded. Vote Aye: Murray, Lyles, Daniel. Motion carried.
Glen Murray moved, Wilson Lyles seconded to approve the funding agreement for the City of Newcastle’s NW 24th Road Widening Project (Job No. 346-719, JP37000(56)), through Economic Development Sales Tax (Eco Dev-ST) funds. Vote Aye: Murray, Lyles, Daniel. Motion carried.
Wilson Lyles moved, Glen Murray seconded to approve Resolution No. 8-2026-2027 declaring a Countywide Burn Ban due to current fire conditions effective for up to 14 days. Vote Aye: Murray, Lyles, Daniel. Motion carried.
With no further business, Glen Murray moved to adjourn at 9:01 a.m., Wilson Lyles seconded. Vote Aye: Murray, Lyles, Daniel. Motion carried.
