Tax receipts collected on sales of Medical Marijuana for July in McClain County totaled $63,449.61. Newcastle led the way in sales by municipality, but just by a slim margin over Purcell.
The total amount of collection is divided up between the local municipality’s sales tax, State sales tax, and an amount that goes to the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority.
Newcastle sales resulted in a return of $9,098.37 in taxes to City coffers, while Purcell sales returned $8,709.84. Blanchard had sales which returned $2,506.87 in taxes for their City government.
Purcell provided $11,093.57 to OMMA, while Newcastle provided $10,508.65, and Blanchard sales resulted in $3,219.30 going to OMMA. The State received $9,108.36 from Newcastle, another $8,709.84 from Purcell, and $2,506.87 from Blanchard.
