Of the 19 government entities reported on for the August Sales and Use Tax report, 12 of them showed gains over 2025 sales and use tax figures with Norman and Purcell showing the largest gains. Newcastle gained more than $100,000.
Norman gained nearly $1.5 million over 2025 while Purcell jumped over $142,000 above last year. McClain County received back from the State, $86,000 more than what it took in for the same time period last year. The August sales and use tax figures were from June 16-30 as well as estimates from July 1-15.
