Newcastle begins Week 0 of their 2026 season with a game against State Champion Carl Albert.
The Racers are featured in a special section in this week’s issue of the Newcastle Pacer.
Newcastle football is under first-year head coach Bo Bradshaw. He has served as defensive coordinator for the Racers the past few years under former head coach Jeff Brickman, who is now the Newcastle Athletic Director.
The Racers have 80 athletes on their roster for the year. Among those are 20 seniors, 15 juniors, 18 sophomores, and 27 freshmen.
Newcastle played in a scrimmage this summer against a couple of schools. Here, they play against Bishop McGuinness, as the Racer defense gets a workout.
