Board of McClain County Commissioners met in regular session on Monday, August 17, 2026 at 8:15 a.m. in Room 309 of the McClain County Courthouse due to jury term scheduling. Chairman Terry Daniel called the meeting to order and led the flag salute. County Clerk Rebekah Couch called the roll and those present were: Chairman Terry Daniel, Vice Chairman Glen Murray, and Member Wilson Lyles.
Wilson Lyles moved to approve the minutes of the August 10, 2026 meeting, Glen Murray seconded. Vote Aye: Murray, Lyles, Daniel. Motion carried.

At 8:30 a.m. the hearing on the Petition for Annexation of Additional Territory to be incorporated into Rural Water and Sewer District No. 9, McClain County, Oklahoma, filed by Tina Adkins (Gray Acres Foundry, LLC) on July 23, 2026, was conducted. No persons appeared in opposition to the petition. Wilson Lyles moved, Glen Murray seconded to approve the Order Annexing Additional Territory to be incorporated into Rural Water and Sewer District No. 9. The new boundaries of the district shall include property located in Section 21, Township 8 North, Range 3 West. Vote Aye: Murray, Lyles, Daniel. Motion carried.
Wilson Lyles moved, Glen Murray seconded to approve the lease purchase of a 2022 Caterpillar 930 Loader through Sourcewell Contract #02023-CAT, for a sales price of $175,000.00, with vendor financing for District Two. Vote Aye: Murray, Lyles, Daniel. Motion carried.
Terry Daniel moved to approve the invoices for Crafton Tull for professional services rendered through 8/7/2026 for May Avenue Resurfacing of $4,341.25 for District Two and Three; 240th Resurfacing of $7,155.36 for District Three; and 170th Grade Drain & and Surface of $6,287.50 for District One, Glen Murray seconded. Vote Aye: Murray, Lyles, Daniel. Motion carried.
Wilson Lyles moved, Glen Murray seconded for approval of the Detention Service Agreement between the Woodward County Juvenile Detention Center and the McClain County Board of County Commissioners for juvenile detention services for the 2026-2027 fiscal year. Vote Aye: Murray, Lyles, Daniel. Motion carried.
No action was taken regarding the countywide burn ban
With no further business Wilson Lyles moved to adjourn at 9:04 a.m., Glen Murray seconded. Vote Aye: Murray, Lyles, Daniel. Motion carried.
