Two morning meetings are planned for this week and next for area residents. The first is a Morning Mingle tomorrow (Friday, August 14) sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and Contemporary Family Dentistry. The second is a chance to hear about the bond issue from the superintendent of Newcastle Public Schools.
The August Morning Mingle is a free event and begins at 9 a.m. at Contemporary Family Dentistry, 1117 N.W. 32nd Street in Newcastle.
A breakfast with Superintendent of Newcastle Schools Dr. Cathy Walker will be at 9 a.m., Wednesday, August 19 at the Newcastle Senior Citizens Center. The topic will be the August 25 bond issue special election.
The “Bond Breakfast” is a free event being sponsored by Sooner State Bank and is in partnership with the Newcastle Chamber of Commerce.
Organizers said attendees will learn about the upcoming school bond proposal, including the district’s vision and projects, the financial information, and the anticipated impact.
