Elevate Dance Academy is proud to announce that five of its company dancers have advanced to the final round of casting for Tempus, a groundbreaking professional dance production created and directed by acclaimed choreographer Derek Piquette. The finalists will travel to Phoenix, Arizona, where the final cast will be selected and the production will premiere as part of the Accelerate Acro Convention.
The Elevate dancers selected as finalists are: Maddie Britton, Avyn Puckett, Chloe Davis, Maia Grissom, and Corinne Wall Tempus is a one-of-a-kind theatrical dance production that is said to blend breathtaking acrobatic artistry, contemporary movement, and powerful storytelling. Tempus is directed by Derek Piquett, who is known internationally for his appearances on So You Think You Can Dance, performances with Cirque du Soleil’s KOOZA, and choreography for Jennifer Lopez, Netflix, and Apple TV+. The production features a cast of both elite young performers and industry professionals sharing the stage in a visually stunning live performance.
Advancing to the final round is considered to be a significant accomplishment. Dancers are selected through a highly competitive audition process and are evaluated on technical ability, artistry, performance quality, versatility, professionalism, and stage presence. Being named a finalist places these five dancers among an elite group of young performers from across North America competing for a place in the cast.

The finalists have trained for years in multiple styles of dance while balancing school, family, and rehearsal schedules. Their advancement reflects not only their individual talent, but also the culture of excellence, perseverance, and artistry that defines Elevate Dance Academy.
The final casting process will take place within the next month. If they make the cut, they will travel to Phoenix, Arizona, where dancers will work directly with Derek Piquette and the creative team for the show.
For these young performers, simply reaching the final round is an incredible honor and an opportunity to gain invaluable experience working alongside some of the dance industry’s most respected professionals.
